I went online to buy a specific mandolin that my friend was using but my wife and I were blown away by this and all of these things. could do. I'm not saying it's a terrible product, it does the job, it's just far from basic when it comes to what we primarily wanted to use it for, which is grating food, especially potatoes. My main problem with this is that when you use one of the attachments, it's at the very end, making it difficult to work with rhythm. I won't lie, I've only tried it twice, both times with potatoes, to make hash browns with the grater attachment. A slider that holds what you cut doesn't hold it very well, and you have to be really picky about trimming the material to size to even have any chance of it staying in place when you cut and held in place. If you're not a fan of ease of use, that's fine. It can do a lot of things, although I can just take the mandolin I originally looked at and save it for all the other things it can do.
