This is the right choice
The 110V detachable plug on my original charger was lost during our recent trip. I tried several other chargers that we already had and none of them worked properly with my Garmin. Garmin uses a pulse charging system which requires the correct charger. The replacement block was identical to my original. What I don't like is that the 110 output pins are removable for better storage. If you care about your charger, you will never disconnect the 110V pins from the transformer. It is very easy to lose it and the charger will fail.
