I bought these shirts for my boys for their grandma's wedding and also for our trip to Hawaii. My youngest who is 5 years old usually wears XS boys and my 8 year old who is under his age wears small to medium. l depending on the store. I ordered xs for my 5 year old and small for my 8 year old. For comparison, I have attached old dark blue shirts in size to the product. Old Macy Shirts - XS and MED. Hawaiian shirts are a bit bigger but I think they would look great! I was very impressed with the quality of the fabric in the shirts. Note, however, that shirts don't have room to stretch because the material doesn't stretch. So make sure you choose the right size.
