Review on Wellness Natural Canned Food 3 Ounce by Dominic Maxwell

We adopted kittens 2.6 months old who have been vet checked and are healthy. The foster mother only fed her dry food, so we wanted to add a healthy canned option. After 5 weeks of feeding Wellness for Kittens, the kitten developed struvite crystals, a partial urinary tract obstruction, and both kittens had diarrhea the entire time this food was fed. After medical intervention and refusal of this food, the kittens feel well again. I never thought this could happen with this brand, but there seems to be anecdotal evidence of urinary problems and diarrhea with this food from other cat owners (e.g. the protein formulation causes a pH imbalance in the urine). Please be careful. We noticed that our cat was constipated early on.
