Review on πŸ“ Milton 448 Tire Tread Depth Gauge - Bulk Purchase of 10 to Ensure Accuracy by Edward Freeland

Best profile gauge I have ever seen

This is the best profile gauge I have ever seen and I have worked in many tire shops. it's mine, as opposed to the cheap green/red ones floating around the store. The most important thing is its SAE. I have NEVER worked anywhere that required tread depth measurements in metric. Obviously a better system than SAE, I don't need half my tread depth gauge with metric measurements. ), I don't want to be sure that the 32nd is facing me. It sucks when you take a reading and when you pull the sensor towards you to read it, it hits something and resets the reading. I just want a measurement for the first time (IN 32 seconds!) This tool only reads in 1/32 inch increments. It stays on for a long time until someone bends it and the metal tip bends into the sensor and gives an incorrect reading. And it doesn't have those stupid hexagonal faces with metric and 32. Everyone wants one like mine, I had a co-worker who once paid me $15 for one of these. Digital depth readers are dumb. You need batteries, and why invest so much technology or money in a tread depth gauge? It's simple, practical, and Milton makes good products. Although I think they tend to be inaccurate.
