Works great as a charger but the Wi-Fi interface sucks

I don't know how to rate this charger. It has a very powerful interface, but it's implemented so poorly that it's very difficult to use. The problem is that without using the Wi-Fi interface, the charger cannot be used properly because the charger does not have the built-in ability to fully diagnose the type of battery it is connected to. For example, my lithium-ion battery was considered lead-acid by Renology. You must be logged in to a Wi-Fi connection to assign loading-related variables. With the phone you first connect to the charging network and then once the connection is established use a web browser to connect to the local website 192.168.4.1. Of course, you need to memorize this page, because the back of the charger instructions doesn't say it (as it should have). Once connected, you will need a magnifying glass to read the data on your phone. It worked well with my MacBook Air, which allowed me to see the variables, but I don't want to take my computer with me to use the charger. I gave it four stars because you can just use it in standard mode (no Wi-Fi connection) when charging lead-acid batteries. It does this job well, as the smart charger was able to diagnose the three types of lead-acid batteries I tried it on (AGM, GEL, and flooded). However, do not use this for your Li-Ion batteries without using Wi-Fi to properly assign charging characteristics.
