I was so interested in microwave popcorn that I've previously used a silicone tray for a homemade version. I'm so glad I have one now! At first I wasn't sure what to think of it. Silicone can be very flexible or have a certain structure. This popcorn popcorn is on the flimsy side. I suppose it's good for storage (and bending it a little to fit in the dishwasher helps), but I wish it was a little thicker. What surprised me was the lid. The lid is not placed on the popper. It's in it. Unlike the product photos, you don't get a pile of popcorn on top as you only have to put 1/4 cup in it and it doesn't bounce (at least for me). large - not even at the top of the bowl in my experience. I really like that the recipes are included. I have a lot of allergies so I usually can't eat branded popcorn. The corn porridge recipe makes delicious popcorn that takes on flavor as it cooks and is super easy to make. Although I've used it with artificial butter flavor, I've also tried it with a different flavor and plan to experiment with other artificial flavors as well. It imparts a mild sweet flavor (rather than savory) to popcorn. It's great to have something so easy to use that cleans and flavors popcorn as it pops.
