Finally a quick and easy way to make popcorn without all those nasty chemicals in microwave bags. My very first batch was perfect!

The instructions weren't entirely clear to us but it could only be for us. I accidentally "opened" the bowl upside down, mainly because the instructions didn't come with it. The chart below might help. Although the instructions say the corn should pop in about 2 minutes, I recommend setting the microwave timer for at least 4 minutes, as 2 minutes wasn't long enough for us, and then listening for the sound of popping corn kernels until 1 second or a little longer, turn off the microwave.

This works very well. I like that it is collapsible and easy to store. The shell is slightly warped, which annoys me, but doesn't affect performance in any way. I used to put popcorn kernels in a brown paper bag to pop them. This works much better. It's easy to use as you put up to 1/4 of the grains in the bottom, cover with a lid, then pop in the microwave and you're done. I microwave popcorn in Presto brand plastic popcorn all the time and this unit is quite unusual but it worked fine from the first batch. The Presto block is made of plastic and this one is made of silicone and while both can withstand high temperatures, this block is foldable and therefore takes up less storage space.
