light and strong

I've seen titanium flashlights advertised for twice as much as aluminum flashlights so I thought titanium was a pretty expensive metal. It's more expensive than aluminum, but I didn't know you could make an entire pan out of this material so cheaply. It's very light and quite strong - that's exactly what this metal offers in addition to aluminum. It needs to be fairly strong, much like stainless steel, so manufacturers can make it thinner without losing strength. In terms of coffee performance, it scores very well. The mesh is small, coffee does not go through. The press and rim of the pot fit well and offer good resistance, but it doesn't feel like it's scratching. Just make sure you have the right grind. Not all loops are the same. If you've bought stuff from the store that's actually made for paper filters, you might be disappointed that your last cup has some grit and residue in it. If you take your own whole beans and use a quality cone grinder, carefully adjusting the settings to ensure a reasonably coarse grind, every cup will be like a mouthful from heaven. normal aluminum pan. Titanium is not as good a conductor of heat as aluminum or copper. Regardless, it's great for those who appreciate a good cup of coffee while trying to keep their core weight down. At this price I would take 2 if I needed it!
