I've had the lens for a few weeks now after purchasing it. I had considered getting it for my Canon 6D Mark II for a very long time. I had read testimonials and reviews from other customers, all of which were extremely favorable. Disappointment replaced the first favorable first impressions of the purchase (both in terms of its appearance and its design) quite quickly. No matter what aperture I used, the photos I took turned out fuzzy. In spite of the fact that this lens is more expensive than the EF 50/f1.8 STM, the level of sharpness was found to be comparable between the two. Due to the fact that I am not a professional photographer, I started having second thoughts about my talents. I gave them the camera and lenses to be adjusted, and after they were done, whatever reservations I had about my own capabilities were gone, as they confirmed that there were problems with setting up the camera itself as well as the lens, which had a significant front focus. Yet even after adjusting it, the issue with the general "soapiness" remained, and the sharpness of the photographs is still inferior to that of the EF 50/f1.8 STM and my second camera (Ricoh GR ii), which is itself comparable to this lens. I was really hoping to get a 35mm lens because that's my go-to focal length, therefore I'm really unhappy with the purchase. Let's see what the results of the second visit to the service will be, but it looks like we may have to completely overhaul the system.
