This kit or something similar is practically indispensable when installing your first LED strips. I ended up using everything except a jumper and a Y-splitter. I'm certainly glad I had the foresight to buy this as I snagged the light strips. Note. The strips can be a real nuisance when trying to "plug into an extension/jumper". - Figured out LEAVING THE LINING (if your LED strip has an adhesive backing)! - Make sure the strip is under the guide tabs on each side of the jumper receiving portion. - Push the strip straight down evenly (gently but with force). If the strip bends, don't worry, everything is fine. Just don't make it look like a piece of foil and you'll be fine. - This is the most tedious and annoying part of a clean install, after routing/concealing cables. Will definitely be buying another set, only bigger and more diverse, as the next project on the honey do list calls for it.
