Looks accurate and reliable

When I read about the electronic pH meter I was a bit hesitant because it used litmus paper. Glass, test strips with my kombucha kit showed the same color whether apple cider vinegar or alkaline water and then it should have happened soon enough that I wasn't worried about my kombucha turning acidic. Box: Unlike many cheap products that contaminate AMZN, the box has not broken in the last 20 or so openings. Counter: The counter is not something that will win a beauty pageant. But it's solidly built. Instructions: They are clear, direct, without the influence of foreign English. Calibration solutions are available. I decided to just test the pH of distilled water assuming it was close to 7. The result was correct. I tested ACV and as expected it showed a low number. I simply rinsed the sensor part under running water and shook off the water. The counter is reset. I poured kombucha into a small jar and just enough to dip the sensor in as suggested. I let it stabilize and it gave me a stable reading. After tasting the drink, I believe the readings were at the right level. IMHO it's a good investment and seems strong enough to survive in my toolbox.

Pros
  • Test, measure and verify
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
