This part can repair gear indicator for f150 automatic shifter 97-2002

Shift Lever Adjusted Thumb Screw to fine tune the drive indicator. Reinstall the panels. Total time 15 min. There are several videos on YouTube on how to do this, to save time just find one that is only about 5 minutes long and watch it. I used a 7mm, 8mm and 9mm socket and needle nose pliers to reattach the cable.
