Advantages: 1) You can use them with or without a broom. 2) If you use a "broom", they are easy to attach and detach. 3) They are quite cheap for the amount that comes in the box and the amount of use you get from it. 4) They collect dust particles you can't even see (try it yourself and see what I'm talking about!) Cons: 1) They're effective on most surfaces *except* I've noticed that they tend to snagging on rough surfaces like unpolished wood and my stone fireplace 2) They work well on my hardwood floor (but it's written!), wood and tile floors *except* when there's sand on the floor (e.g. it's winter the entrance hall covered with salt and sand from the outside path). In this case, it is much better to sweep first. These dust rags have made a huge difference in the time I spend cleaning my home and the efficiency of my job. The only product that tops them is the new Swiffer Dusters, which unfortunately weren't available here at Revain when I wrote this review. They get into hard-to-reach places that neither a mop nor fingers can reach, work on ALL surfaces and pick up literally EVERYTHING. Try to find her if you can!
