Great size! for my opinion

I love the bigger size. I'm using one holder for paint brushes (art supplies for granddaughters) and I haven't decided how I'll use the other one. I might use it for colored pencils.

Pros

They were bought as pencil holders which works fine.

Cons

Can be a hazard if left on the floor or in high traffic areas
