Review on Dell P2416D Monitor: High-Resolution 23.8" 2560X1440P Anti-Glare Screen - Best Buy by Tommy Reeves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's hard to win for money.

A good monitor on a professional swivel stand. The stand is the best part of the deal. The height adjustment is smooth and easy. The vertical range of motion is 5 inches. I also love REAL buttons. I took a monitor with non-contact capacitive switches and I don't like them. Too jerky. It all looks and feels good. I also like the anti-reflective coating. It's not grainy like some older Dell models. Flatter smooth surface instead of grainy. I bought this for text and here it shines. It's a bit sharper than the 27" 1980x1080 I returned. Also significantly sharper than 1920x1200. The letters have a lot less fuzz around them. It doesn't have the wow factor of a 4k screen, but it's good enough for me and makes reading all day a lot less taxing on my eyes. It's also a flicker-free (non-PWM) monitor. I'm curious if eliminating the flicker will eliminate my headache. Assembled and installed in 15 minutes. Practically plug -and-play on my Lenovo desktop.(Windows 10).Everything seemed to work fine even before the software was downloaded.I'm not a gamer so have no comment.Movies and content on YouTube are typical for this price range .Nice but nothing special.I don't have the tools or skills to play around with the settings so I left them on default.Weird packaging.I took a picture of it when i I unwrapped it just to remind myself how to get it back into this cardboard maze. Supplied with USB 2.0 upstream cable and Display Port cable. Lenovo doesn't support Display Port so I had to buy an HDMI cable. Haven't used the USB slot yet so can't comment. This monitor is pleasing to the eye and that's why I bought it, that's why I'm satisfied. I recommend.
