I bought this because my older cat was vomiting quite a bit (mostly hairballs but sometimes food) and she had diarrhoea. I am aware of the benefits of probiotics because I take them myself and I have recently started giving them to my dogs who have also benefited. I can't believe how much they have affected my cats - much more so than dogs or me. I have an 8 year old and a 2 year old who have ALWAYS fought. Now they play together! I even saw them sleeping next to each other - touching! The younger cat used to chase and attack the older cat, resulting in scratching and squawking. Now my older cat playfully chases the younger cat and they play. My older cat even plays alone more - she chases her tail. So pretty! Nothing else has changed; I've really thought about it. I only feed them pumpkin puree. I mix the powder with very little water, then add a full spoonful or two of canned pumpkin and stir. They love it. (Yes, regular canned pumpkin for humans. They love it more than canned cat food and it's MUCH CHEAPER.) Oh, I've also recently started adding pet gravy mix to my older cat's pap (modified first), because while they do eat pellets too, i noticed that she doesn't eat as much due to her teeth (i think) so i knew she needed more nutrients and vitamins than just squash.
