These are good for mounting the transmission to the cross members on my Astro 89 Van. They replace the two side bushings on the transmission mount. There are different types of gear mounts on the Astro/Safari. I'm not sure if they will fit everyone. As always, this is a typical indestructible quality polyurethane. They adapt well to a variety of mounting patterns by retaining or removing various shims and internal bushings. As a transmission support they are too stiff for me. They transmit a lot of vibrations. Probably pretty tolerable for a race car where you're trying to squeeze all that horsepower out of the gearbox. But in a light truck, they're a little closer to the uncomfortable side. Not unbearable, but always present. I will probably replace them with softer urethane compound versions to reduce window, shifter, etc. rattle that occurs with harder urethane.
