I was hoping the negative reviews I read were user error. Obviously not. I've been using this for several months to keep my crew going, sometimes on a daily basis. Why daily? Because these clippers work so poorly, I'm running out of strength to keep making passes before I run out of stragglers. To be honest, every $20 clipper set I've ever owned has worked better than this one. If I hadn't folded my last pair I wouldn't be in the market. I chose these because all the reviews for brands of hair clippers under $100 are pretty mediocre. I think at the time I was just feeling good and wondering what I could get by paying $50 more. This is called commodity fetishism. Peanuts look as cheap as they look, but the reviewers are right: They're great for edging sideburns, cleavage, around the ears, and, frankly, sculpting the pubic bone. Like, better than anything I've used. This is possibly the only reason I tolerated the main unit being over the return period. In hindsight, a stupid reason to throw money away.
