Review on Connectors for Efficient Splicing of Hardwire Conductors by Keith Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It might save your sanity!

You'll never want to use wire nuts again with one of these! Unlike push-in connectors, which are much simpler than wire nuts, they are reusable. You can open it, insert the wire and close it! Why isn't this done with all electrical elements? I mean I want this on my plugs and ceiling lights! I envisioned our future with junction boxes with outlets at the top, bottom and side that can be connected to form a group box. No more stripping wires. You put a plug on the end and push down on the cable and you have a connection that just plugs into the junction box. The fact is that they simplified a difficult task. Things like this show that with some positive thinking and some effort, we can make our lives easier! You are safe for all your main wiring. Most circuits are only rated for 15A, but heavier ones like your fridge are 20A. They are rated for 32A! I like this safety buffer. Of course, installing a robot might be easier... It's a nice step up from wire nuts!
