The two best (and most important) attributes of this bucket are its width-to-height ratio and its color. A smaller height (than the ubiquitous 5 gallon bucket) is IDEAL because it makes (A) this much less likely. Tilting, (B) disciplines you NOT to use more water/expensive soap than you need (2 gallons MORE than enough for any vehicle that's less than an RV), and (C) makes it easier to dip pole-mounted cleaning pads . The color makes it pop up in your peripheral vision, making you less likely to trip over it. It is highly recommended to use an accompanying grid (stands about 3" from the bottom of the bucket and keeps dirt/sand on the bottom and away from your cleaning cloth/sponge/chenille). Unfortunately this catches about 3/4 gallon of soapy water that cannot be used BUT if you wash the rims last you can just take out the grate and dip a long handled brush in the remaining water and clean up the mess easily. Brake dust from all four discs.
