Review on πŸ” Renewed NETGEAR AC750: Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Range Extender EX6100 - Boost Your Wireless Coverage by Jason Selby

Good signal, great price

This product can be used in two ways. One option is to use it as a wireless extender that uses your existing Wi-Fi signal and simply passes it through. Another option is to use it as a hotspot, which means you've got an ethernet cable plugged into it and it's configured to provide WiFi in a similar way to how you set up your router. I only use this product as an access point, so I have a router in a closet at the other end of the house with WiFi disabled, but it provides 4 wired ethernet ports throughout the house. The signal expander plugs into one of the ports in the middle of the house. The coverage is excellent. I get a strong signal everywhere on my property, inside and outside the house. The access point supports Wireless N (2.4GHz) and Wireless AC (5GHz), but the Wireless AC signal is no stronger than the Wireless N signal, so I don't see much point in using it. I disabled it on my router to save power as my internet speed is way slower than Wireless N's 300Mbps limit. So if your internet speed is below 100Mbps you can save some money by using instead Buy a Wireless N300 Range Extender. However, I bought this device because Netgear claims it has better range and good coverage anywhere in my house.
