Perfect for my purposes. I'm glad I read the reviews. Very easy to assemble, no instructions, see picture. As long as you know you have to be careful, and you're working with something solid like a very heavily starched Ehrman canvas like this, you'll be fine. Not suitable for fine needlework or embroidery. You have to spend money on a really good frame if you're working on something good. But I needed something small because I'm recovering from shoulder surgery and can only use my left arm! That's great. And I could connect with one hand. just said. I had absolutely no problem putting my canvas on, it's not tight but I didn't want it to be as it doesn't move either, I really only needed a second hand and that's perfect for that. Hope that helps.
