I ordered this a few months ago and everything worked great right out of the box, no setup required. Then, after a few weeks of use, the portable pager just stopped working. This was frustrating because I needed it when I went outside to do gardening or anything outdoors that made it impossible for me to hear either of the other two connected receivers. I tried putting new batteries in the pager and reprogramming it. It then works again, but only occasionally, making it unreliable. The 2 connected receivers never failed to alert me. They work great. Since I was craving the freedom and needing to go out without worrying of something happening to my husband, I re-ordered this full set as buying a single pager was out of reach. All I needed was another pager. The new set arrived this week and as before everything worked perfectly EXCEPT the pager. In fact, my pager didn't work at all, not even the second time. I didn't send it back because I figured since everything else was working so well I'd just keep the extra receivers and transmitters in reserve. This is a great product that worked flawlessly except for the portable pager feature which I really needed and was one of the reasons I bought this brand and style. TWICE! If you don't need pager functionality then this is a great product to have when caring for someone who requires you to be in earshot. It gives me and my husband a great 24/7 comfort knowing I can always hear him.
