It's a little louder, but honestly, at the end of the day, when you're feeling sore and your muscles are cramping from the last set, or you're tense from yesterday's workout, you just need something to get the job done. Hold the power button to turn it on or off and press it to change the heart rate intensity. The size is more convenient than the larger version, so you can put it in your gym bag or suitcase without taking up much space. And it keeps a charge for a long time (so far I've gone 2 days without a charge and I've used it a total of 5 times for at least 10 minutes). Charges via USB, which is also convenient.
