I have several different ankle braces and compression sleeves that I wear at various times depending on how my feet are feeling. With both otheoarthritis and plantar fasciitis in my feet, the pain isn't always the same, but the need for support is. I like to use an ankle brace preventitively. This brace/compression sleeve is the thickest of any that I own. For colder weather, that's no problem, as keeping my foot and ankle warm helps to stave off some pain. However, this sleeve is a little too thick for the hot days that are rolling in.While I refer to the singular, this isn't a single sleeve, but the pack actually includes a pair of brace/compression sleeves. They are not labelled for a specific foot, and look the same in design. I can tell from the weave of the fabric that there is supposed to be extra compression at the arch and ankle, but the fabric of the sleeve is so thick, that I don't really feel a difference anywhere except the heel, which is much thinner than the rest of the sleeve.It's hard to say how effective this sleeve is because it's so thick. I think as a brace, it works fairly well. For compression, other than that it offers a snug fit, I don't feel like it's offering any special relief, circulation, or support.
