Review on 🎡 Douk Audio G5 100W Bluetooth 5.0 Dual Channel Amplifier Mini Digital Class D Stereo Audio Power Amp Wireless Receiver (Black) by Corey Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm a good little amp!

I was given this amp to replace a Sony Dolby Pro Logic Receiver that a colleague gave me as a gift with a complete system that he no longer needs. I have two good two-way Sony front speakers and a passive subwoofer from the system. After hooking up the system, I started doing what everyone else does. Browse your music collection to check the audio. VCMG, The Digital Blonde, Ghost and Tame Impala for starters. The sound output is quite impressive with the included power supply. So I played Bruce Hornsby, XTC, Lord. etc. The sound is clear. The last stereo receiver that sounded good in my opinion was a JVC RX-308 in the mid-nineties connected to 15" 4-way KLH speakers (PR 950?). These were by no means reference or high- End systems. Since then I've mainly been using soundbars like the Nakamichi NK-1B and a Lepai Tripath mini amp through 6.5" Jensen speakers. I can say with confidence that this amp has a clean output. Bluetooth is easy too very easy to connect and disconnect I just set the amp to 50% and leave it there Other functions like equalizer etc I use to set up via a PC or phone Note this is into 8 ohms speakers (pure Sonys) connected. Although I've had amps and receivers from Sansui, Teac, JVC and Pioneer, as well as countless components such as CD players from the same brands, I really haven't had anything that sounded better than this inexpensive amp Plenty of MP3 320 files, although I have a few WAV and FLAC files, so haven't made high speed/music size bits yet. I'm really happy to live in this time and see what people with imagination and talent can bring to market! With lower impedance speakers than mine, this amp would have even more headroom. This is day one and I will see how durable and reliable this amp will be over the coming weeks.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
