Review on 🔧 Mopar 52028898AE Engine Thermostat by Jeff Drollinger

I thought I would buy a 195 thermostat, received the package along with some others and delivered it to the shop where I installed the rebuilt engine on our Charger 07. From the start the car hung directly below that is the half line on our scale (no numbers, just silly markings). I never liked it, there was a smell of generated heat after I parked the car, a terrible heat under the hood. I decided to change the T-Stat at 1500 miles, I bought a Mishimoto 180 degree stat, after removing that part I was shocked it was 203! I called the mechanic even though I told him we need a lower temp he forgot and installed what I had supplied. I have decided that from now on I will be videotaping EVERY package delivered. I was absolutely furious and waited a day and a half before writing this review (too many bad words in the original). Understand: the charger is our #1 car. When it blew up 2 months after purchase and after putting another 8,000 into that motor and a few other spares/upgrades, we were happy about the slump. This does not mean he was breastfed, just that his fluid balance and habits were carefully monitored. The fact that the car is heated during the burglary damn it makes me angry! Look, we love Revain and own shares in the company. The problem with something like a thermostat is that it can take 3 or 4 years to replace and heat is the enemy of this and every other engine. I stressed that all the time I spent trying to make this hack as perfect as possible was wasted, at least in part. We understand Dodge specs thermostat 203 but face it, they're in the business of selling engines and parts and running hot speeds that up. Cynical yes, but at 63 I've seen changes, some for the better, many for the worse. I will return the part if the date has not passed. This supplier owes me way more (time, coolant, frustration) than I can ask for, hence I'm giving this review 1 star. CHECK YOUR ORDERS!
