Review on Satco S1825 150W Frosted 120V by Tim Reimann

I ordered two of these lamps instead of a floor lamp with a three-way base. The lamp currently has a 100-200-300 bulb and is far too bright (and hot!) for me. But the point is that the lamp works well as a 3-way lamp. Strangely, neither of the two lamps I ordered work properly. A lightbulb, when I turn the lamp switch once, lights up dimly (50W). If I press a second and third time, the lamp stays at 50W and doesn't get any brighter. [In other words: OFF-ON-ON-ON-OFF, but the bulb never gets brighter.] The second bulb turns on when the bulb is switched on once (also in minimum mode, 50W). However, if I flip the switch again, the light goes out. If I flip the switch a third time, the light comes on again, but with the same brightness (50W). [In other words: OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF] It strikes me as very strange that the lamps react differently when switched on. . .
