I bought this cable to replace the cable I am currently using which has become very positional and sensitive with age. The cable worked well until about three days. After I rolled up the cable to put in my laptop bag to go to the library, the second half of the cable, where it plugs into the adapter box, had the black casing completely chipped off, exposing the wires. I usually keep my laptop on my desk, so I knew it had nothing to do with tugging or tugging on the cord. After the next two days it stopped working completely. Sometimes I can get it to work, and I've since removed it to use as a "gap" cable in case the new one I bought fails like my first one. Overall, the cable looks very cheap and I was very disappointed.
