We love these shoes. I order for my kids every summer. This model runs one size larger. For example, my little boy wears a size 8 in other shoes, but in Salt Waters Surfers he wears a size 7. Salt water with thick soles is the complete opposite. If I were to order a pair of thick soles for it I would order a 9. Salt water is very hard when you first get it. I just soak them in water for a minute and then put them on the kids feet to adjust to their feet. After that, after a few wears, they will become softer. My kids have narrow feet and they are perfect for them.
