I have a small form factor computer that I am upgrading to an HTPC and I have a small form factor graphics card that only has DisplayPort and DVI. RCV requires HDMI and this cable saves me from using a bunch of adapters to go from DisplayPort to HDMI. I test it on my regular computer monitor and it plays 3440 x 1440 at 60Hz with no issues, even allowing me to overclock the monitor to 75Hz. Big throughput. The DisplayPort side has a tether end, which gives me peace of mind.
