I needed a longer brush as I keep shaving soap in a powdered sugar shaker. (I can use this to create great lather without smearing the soap all over.) I was hesitant to get a brush at first since it's made of boar bristle and not badger bristle. This turned out to be a feature, not a flaw: a slightly stiff brush creates a nice lather much faster than a badger brush. It has more cream in it which is fantastic for me when I shave my head and face. And it spreads the shaving cream much better than previous brushes I've used. I highly recommend this shaving brush!
