Review on KYB 565104 MonoMax Gas Shock by David Golden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best I've found for HD Truck

Application 2001-2010 Chevy/GMC 2500HD 4WD Pickup (Duramax), No Lift, 275/60-20 Tires: Tried Bilstein 5100 and Rancho Beats RS9000XL was like that disappointed in both that I took them off after driving less than 20,000 miles on each. None of them offered enough rebound control to keep the truck from moving after moderate compression like a high-speed drop or a road bump, etc., resulting in a wobbly and unstable feel. The KYB shocks are superb, even softer (for an HD truck) on bumps, railroad tracks etc, and the sense of stability is excellent with absolutely no extra body movement after compression. You even feel noticeably more comfortable in curves. These mufflers are significantly cheaper than other high end/popular options and they really work. However, nothing looks quite as strong as the RS9000XL shock; This has the largest body, shaft, and nicest hardware (and by far the most expensive), but the KYB's performance is the best I've found regardless of cost. I decided to try KYB after installing KYB Gas Adjust shocks/struts on my son's Tacoma.
