Review on 🛠️ Industrial Stripper Tool - Revolutionary Functionality by NEWACALOX by Kevin Zamora

I work for a wire company where we manufacture; Commercial, industrial, military, nuclear and fiber optic cable and I work with many gauges of wire. Lyman's dykes and tongs caught my interest because of their built in wire stripping feature. Therefore, I divide my rating into price, quality and performance. Price; It was well below the competition and I was shocked at how good the quality product was for the price (wasn't one of those you pay for what you get). Quality: The pliers look very well made. They're stiff and annoying at first, but as with any pliers, you have to spray some WD-40 on them and work to loosen them, which was an issue when they were brand new. The blade cuts cleanly and easily. The grips of the tongs are comfortable, but I still wish they were made out of a more rubbery and soft material. The levers on the pliers are large so you can easily cut 14- to 6-gauge wire. A striptease console I was looking forward to, but unfortunately that feeling was short-lived. These pliers are very difficult to strip wire, perhaps the teeth are misaligned or not fully touching when in the closed position, or there is simply no leverage when pushed back to strip. Nothing at all happened to this function, which contradicts the actual purpose for which I bought the pliers in the first place. I was hoping this would save me the trouble of having to deal with and juggle pliers while I work, but unfortunately these pliers didn't solve that problem. These are beautifully made Lyman dykes and pliers but terrible wire strippers which is a huge disappointment to me as I was looking forward to this built in feature. My suggestion is to improve the quality and functionality of the product; I would use a softer rubber material for the grips and weld on the scraper teeth so the teeth stay in line and don't come loose every time. It may also take some trial and error to find a more convenient and functional location on the pliers where the stripping portion can be removed with more ease than effort. Overall, I give it 3.8 out of 5 stars.
