Like many other reviewers, I used this as a quick fix for a failed office chair cylinder. The clutch is strong, durable and easy to use, with no sharp edges or greasy coatings to indicate poor workmanship and quality control. It does what it does for my application and I adjusted my chair to the desired height, attached the collar and now the chair always sits at the correct height.
