I've been looking for a good baby monitor for months and settled on this one. Battery life: I only use the monitor at night, but if you use it during the day I don't think the battery will last long. But you can leave it on and you're good to go. Image Quality: Not great, but you can see the full picture of your baby and their movements. If you want to see how your baby is breathing, keep looking. The quality is very good. I highly recommend mounting the camera as it doesn't slope down enough to place on a shelf etc. I haven't used the assembly kit yet, but all parts are included. Overall: I just need a baby monitor that lets me see my baby move or hear him cry without paying more than $200. The screen lights up when you move or cry, which is very useful. I wish there was a setting to keep the screen on all the time. To be honest it gets the job done, that's all you really need.
