Attention buyers NOT C9 NOT waterproof NOT outdoor

We bought these lights because of the warm colour, positive reviews and the description 'C9' and 'waterproof'. It rained the night after I installed most of the lamps, and when I came back to finish installing them, I noticed the lamp was full of water. (picture attached) I unscrewed it and drained the water, thinking it was just a bad lightbulb. No, I've looked at the others I've installed and found they all contain water (picture included). BIG! exactly what I was looking for in my "waterproof" Christmas lights. Even if I leave them on and they can work, after a month full of water they are unusable due to mold growth. Then I noticed that they blinked intermittently. NO feature, seemingly wet condition will cause a short circuit. I then compared these new lights to an old GE set I got from Lowes. (Picture included) That's when I noticed how cheap the wiring was, with almost no insulation, and that the bulb wasn't the advertised C9, but smaller. Also one of my strings was missing one of the faceted bottle caps. They are cheaply made and useless outdoors. Only buy these if you are going to use them indoors or at events such as birthdays or weddings as the packaging they came in would suggest (image included).
