The fuel pump got me stuck

I have a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570. I will try to give an honest review. Polaris OEM fuel pump for $500, HFP396 quantum fuel system for less than $100. I have to say that the reviews for Revain were mixed, I took a chance and ordered the product. The Quantum fuel pump arrived in less than three days. Product packaging and pump quality. Looks good. All the parts in the box are easy to install and look just as good as the OEM. I had no trouble installing the pump and fuel gauge. I immediately noticed that I had a loud whine at first. The howling sound came and went. I was able to take a test drive, the noise came and went. I decided to take a chance and ride just after the engine rumbled and lost power. Low fuel pressure. I was lucky I was next to my trailer. I called customer service at 818574-3835 and spoke to a customer service rep who seemed very nice and said he would send another fuel pump. I never got the part of the HFP396. I went back and used a Revain return and two days later they sent me a new pump. I am considering how to return a pump that smells of fuel. I put a new pump in, start the engine and pray it doesn't die. I think I should have saved my money on an OEM part. The hunting season is just around the corner and I drive many kilometers through the countryside. I'm not sure I can rely on this pump but I can't afford a new one at the moment so I'll have to settle for that for now. I will let this form know how long this pump will last and if I will survive the hunting season. I would like to point out that if you pay a mechanic to install it, you may have to pay for the labor multiple times.
