Review on Vantamo Personal Alarm For Women: Extra Loud Double Speakers, Low Battery Notice & Strobe Light - Rechargeable Safety Keychain by Nuntawat Bridges

Some Peace of Mind on my review.

I ordered this for my wife.My wife often goes hiking with friends. Lately, there have been some incidents on our local hiking trails that have caused her and her friends to be concerned. We also do dog-walking duty for our neighbors, and our neighborhood has seen a dramatic increase in the number of coyotes wandering just after sunset. I'm hoping that this little personal alarm will provide some peace of mind. The package contains the alarm, a USB charging cord (the device has a USB-C charging input,) and two rings that can be used to attach the alarm to a purse, strap, backpack, etc. One of the rings is a pretty standard key ring. The second is oval and opens by unscrewing a cap. Honestly, a carabiner type attachment would have been preferable. To operate the alarm, you simply pull on it. A cap, which is where it connects to the ring, is pulled off, the alarm sounds, and an LED blinks. The alarm is pretty loud, but I don't know how far the sound would travel. The light is bright, but would really only be effective at night. On a relatively popular hiking trail, I would expect this alarm to scare off a potential attacker. It's hard to say whether it is loud enough to be effective on a trail in the middle of nowhere. I also don't know if it would scare off a coyote. I'm sure we'll encounter one before too long, and I will update this review once I know how coyotes react to the sound and light produced by this alarm.
