Review on Graco® TraxTM Jogger Travel System by Angela Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Compact and lightweight

The Graco Trax Jogger 2.0 is a great touring and versatile stroller if you are looking for something a little more compact. When our daughter was born, friends gave us their old Graco strollers: a Modes stroller and a Fast Action treadmill. Both worked great, but they're quite large and a bit uneven than we'd like. The Trax Jogger 2.0 gives our newborn a ridiculously smooth ride and she can nap for 1-2 hours during a long walk. It's surprisingly light and has a very short wheelbase, making it very easy to turn and manipulate. I think that makes the Trax Jogger 2.0 a really good all-purpose stroller. However, the lower weight leads to lower material costs; everything is slightly thinner and more flexible than Graco's larger models. Drink and snack holders are now a single piece of flexible plastic instead of the solid two-toned slide-out cup trays we had in Modes and Quick Action. The storage compartment next to the carrying handle just holds a pack of travel towels. The frame of the dome has become thinner and lighter. Graco products tend to be quite durable and well engineered, so I'm not sure these lighter materials actually mean shorter lifespans. The front wheel features spring suspension and a locking pin so you can lock it on rough terrain. The pin lock mechanism has been greatly improved over our old Fast Action Jogger. Instead of a plastic tab that you push up and down, it now uses a metal screw that you can lift and turn to release the latch. Since treadmills have three wheels, this means that you need to be aware of a few limitations. during its use. Never ride upside down off curbs as all weight is on one wheel. If you don't lock the wheel, it can twist and bend, and if you lock the wheel, you risk tipping sideways very easily. The Trax 2.0 comes with the SnugRide 30 car seat, but we tried loading our old SnugRide. 35 in the sidecar first. It barely fits and stretches the mesh a bit, so we switched to the SnugRide 30 instead. Also, the Trax 2.0 doesn't come with a newborn liner, likely because it's not recommended for running with a newborn who can't hold their head still.
