The laptop and monitor mount is very sturdy, but the reverse metal placement on the laptop tray (to keep the laptop from sliding off) is on the sides of the center instead. At first I thought it would be better as I was concerned that like other models the metal in the center would interfere with using the trackpad. Instead, this model's layout made typing difficult. Metal "cracked" my wrists (not painful, but uncomfortable). I had to return it. If you're using a USB keyboard mount, this mount works great. However, if you use a laptop keyboard, it may not work for you.
