I spent a lot of time with my 3.2 megapixel Olympus and found it a good camera. That's how it was until I bought the Sony F717. Good things. Long battery life with quite fast charging. Precise autofocus, even at macro settings. The controls/menus are obvious, you don't even need a manual to understand most of it. fast cycling. great for reading the lens or screen and framing, a focus ring that feels like the thing is on a real camera. intuitive layout of controls, after playing with it for 15 minutes I was able to take pictures and keep an eye on the viewfinder, despite frequent changes of aperture, speed, flash, macro, etc. Bad things. Great quick start guide but lacks the detail I would like to see in a camera with so much potential that costs so much. The software that comes with the camera isn't great, but if you're spending that much on a camera, you should still use Photoshop or PictureIt.
