This kit is easy to install and well made. Good job Airaid in terms of the quality of their products. However, Airaid insists that this is not a cold air kit, despite the choke. Intake air temperature (IAT) measurements confirm this. The best improvement was only 4 degrees cooler than stock, but only on the track. The rest of the time it was 20-30 degrees hotter than the normal air intake! A 10 degree cold air intake costs 1% hp. That is, if the temperature increases by 30 degrees, the market will increase in horsepower. from this set is halved. It has a rated power of 13 hp. If you didn't know - you don't feel 13 hp. in truck 5000#. I bought it to improve the MPG gas, but they didn't come either. I've been constantly modifying and upgrading my truck, now it's increased fuel consumption to 17mpg, but this "upgrade" hasn't brought any improvements. And it's LOUD. My Magnaflow muffler is deep and throaty. And its sound is totally lost in the howl this thing produces. Some people I know like it better than stocks or my Magnaflow, but I don't - it's subjective. Some of the same acquaintances also preferred my truck without the muffler. :-) I am very disappointed. Airride suggested returning it and today I'm going to call Revane to find out how to do it.
