Review on DeLonghi ECAM22110SB Silver Espresso Machine, 13.8 Inches by Joseph Rasmussen

I did a lot of research on YouTube and the web when I wanted to buy a fully working espresso machine. There were several finalists, I chose the Magnifica XS mainly for personal reasons as all the best coffee makers have their pros and cons. The DeLonghi name, good references and a robust appearance that gave me the opportunity to "customize" my beer helped me in the decision. In three months and 14 gallons of OEM filtered spring water, I was making great espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and americanos. Then, bam, suddenly the propellant stopped working. Yes, I disassembled it into three parts daily and surgically cleaned all the parts. He wasn't beaten. I even descaled my machine once, even though I have soft water and the machine didn't prompt me to descale. When hot water is turned on, the water jet is no longer strong and continuous, but runs weakly for 5-15 seconds, and then just splashes or stops altogether. When using the steam function, water droplets and very light steam come out of the nozzle. No hiss, no explosion, no foaming. Customer service got me started and trying different things. Vain. They said I probably had air in the pump, but repeated cycles with a gallon of water made no difference. Now I have to send it to a repair center where they promise to fix it within 24 hours. At least that's reassuring. However, I will miss him when he's gone because he continues to make perfect longos and americanos. As previously mentioned, greasy beans are a big problem with this machine. They don't feed themselves. I got around this by pushing the beans into the grinder after each cup. Were the fat beans really a shock to DeLonghi? Shouldn't a machine of this price be feeding fat beans? Dry beans are excellent. Overall I would give the machine 5 stars, even with the problem of not being able to serve fat beans, but of course how can I rate a perfect coffee machine. Sent the package back and got my car home very quickly, less than a week from the day I shipped it! It's been working flawlessly ever since and I'm vaping and frothing like a pro again! Why not 5 stars? This machine requires a low water warning or shutdown. Otherwise, you may end up with half or a quarter cup of coffee because there wasn't enough water in the tank. Yes I know I could watch every time but you know how it is. If you are a better checker than me you would give five stars.
