The foam handles on my old lawn mower have decayed. It worked great. A few things worth mentioning. They come folded in half so there is a crease in the middle of each section. For my application it doesn't matter as I am cutting a section in half. Then use these two 1/2 lengths on the right/left side of the pusher. Second, be sure to use plenty of soapy water for installation. Spray bottle to soak the inside of the grip and coat the shafts. Use it freely. I used Johnson's Baby Shampoo in my mix. It took a lot of effort to push, pull, twist and spray over and over again, but it keeps going in the end. Once the soapy mixture dries, they snap into place. If you intend to use the full length you will have a crease/curve that may or may not go away. I am happy with the purchase.
