I bought 4 of these items for friends. I have had one for many years. This is the easiest and most effective way to clean your sterling silver and gold jewelry. Do not clean the suit or plated jewelry. It is not difficult to find a cleaner for this. It's called Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda and can be found along with other laundry detergents. I found this at my local Walmart. My husband and I are in the jewelry business and I have everything in the world to clean my jewelry but when I'm in a hurry I use this plate.
