After tearing a calf muscle I was advised to wear a compression sleeve to protect against further injury. After reviewing several socks on Revain, I chose them for several reasons: 1. Life is too short to wear boring socks; 2. 84% correct fit; 3. Good feedback. I carefully measured both hips according to the seller's instructions: 8 inches from the center of the knee, then the circumference in inches. My measurements were 21.75 inches. Size chart says XL. I ordered two pairs, green and black, to try them out. Nowhere on the site do I specify the level of compression, but again the reviews were good. I've been wearing socks for 3 days and I find them too big. The sock keeps slipping (I'm glad I have a few pairs). So I measured my hips again and concluded that 21.75 inches. According to the table, XL is the right size. These socks get looser throughout the day and I have to tighten them up every few hours. While I like the color choice, I'm NOT impressed with the size. So you might want to downsize these socks. Of course I would. They're nice and light and I don't have any moisture issues, I just can't keep them in place.
