Review on AOC C27G1 Frameless DisplayPort Adjustable 1920X1080P: Enhance Gaming Experience with 🖥️ 144Hz Refresh Rate, Height Adjustment, Blue Light Filter, Flicker-Free Technology, Wall-Mountable HD Monitor by Jason Kuntz

This is my first 144hz curved gaming monitor. The main reasons I bought it were the price, thin bezel, ADJUSTABLE height, curved screen, AOC quality and a 144hz panel. Please note that the screen of this monitor is a VA panel. I found it difficult to set up this monitor to make the screen look as bright and colorful as an ISP panel. I spent a lot of time working with the NVIDIA Control Panel to make the screen look acceptable, but I wasn't thrilled with it. I was about to continue with my settings when another Revain reviewer mentioned changing the GAMMA setting to 3 in the AOC monitor settings and changing the panel color from warm to NORMAL. These 2 changes noticeably changed the color and brightness of the image. Now I'm happy with the picture and my games look great. The monitor body and stand feel very solid and look very nice with the red accents. The monitor's 144Hz refresh rate makes games clearer. The curved screen effect isn't as noticeable or exciting as I was hoping. He doesn't seem to get in each other's way during the game, but maybe he should. Overall, for the price, this is a very good VA panel monitor that comes with Freesync. If you're looking to save a few bucks over an IPS monitor of similar quality, this is your monitor. Just be prepared to spend some time tweaking it to enjoy the best possible picture. The monitor height adjustment was also an important selling point for me. I came back to add a star to my review. After replacing the HDMI cable with a DP cable, the picture and color are amazing. Even with the latest NVIDIA drivers I can use G-Sync on this monitor. A win!
