I have had a different brand dashboard mount since I bought TomTom. This proved painful from the start; it slid off the dashboard, the suction cup from the GPS to the dashboard kept losing the suction cup, and I ended up with the GPS unit on my lap or on the floor. This block from Tom Tom is 1000% better. It's easy to use, locks securely in any position and stays where it's supposed to be - on the dashboard. The 4 "legs" are flexible enough to fit any dashboard shape. I regularly move it between my wife's car and my pickup truck. If there's a downside, you can't fold the GPS to put it on the dashboard when you're not using the device. Other than that, I wish I had bought it a long time ago.
